[shopping] What have you splurged on recently?

Two 6x4 mats from Deepcut Studio and three planes for Wings of Glory at Colours yesterday. Of course I now need another case from K&R because the current one is full, but will wait until the tripods arrive and hope they do one for that.

I would not call my forge into the dark a splurge, but finally, I found a funky new game engine and a setting that perfectly fits my sensibilities, basically classic old-school Science Fiction.

Apart from the smooth game engine, which I already experienced with Blades in the Dark, it was the artwork of Scum and Villainy that was my primary draw (pun intended). Yes, classic old-school comicbook art, not like the crazy stuff in Veins of the Earth.
I'm hoping that North Star will be a haven for many of these low lives.

I feel almost guilty. I scored a set of Feng Shui 2 kickstarter stuff (book, GM screen, shot tracker, archetype sheets) from eBay for an song. Daylight robbery. I comfort myself by thinking I must be a better home, as I never sell anything...

Sometimes fortune smiles upon the enterprising collector while the competition sleeps. I got a rare Rogue Trader Into the Storm at a bargain on Ebay.

I picked up the Spire at Furnace and as of p81 I like it a lot. I then picked up the PDF only stuff so I hacked them around and got them printed and spiral bound as compilations.
That's a lot of stuff! Love what you've done there, great idea.

I guess I realised that I may run it so I decided some hard copies would make life easier. It wasn’t hard, the covers are just screenshots of each supplement laid out in the Affinity Publisher beta. I hacked the PDFs and added extra blank pages so they fell right in PDF Expert on my Mac.

I just splurged on the Glorantha Sourcebook. And ran into another Sheffield roleplayer and forumite in the game shop who was splurging on 13th Age Glorantha, but who I won't name.

I need to post something about Glorantha in general on another thread... but maybe I should read my new book first.

My The Works Kickstarter bundle arrived this week. VAT and handling added a whack to the cost but as Phil, Kaja and James are friends from my WotC days, supporting the project was a given. Not sure when I’ll get to play it, but the schwag is cool 😀
