[shopping] Temptation waits... what are you resisting?

I hope many fall for 4e and bring it to Furnaces and other cons for me to play.
I have never played 40k but suspect I would revel in it's dystopian humour and gore
I may just get the Warhammer 40K Wrath and Glory. Temptation fail for me. :-(

Despite lampooning its high cost of acquisition via pre-order, I still feel like adding it to my top games list. Plus, after running the quickstart at Patriot Games and positive reviews online, I know I will enjoy running and playing it.

Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay 4e is a d100 roll under system so should be easy to GM.

So, please, someone else can lead that acquisition since I am heading for the far future option.

I'm hovering over the Cypher Kickstarter - Monte Cook's 'Best Game Eveaaaa'. It's now looking like it is approaching value (given that Monte never seems to do Print+PDF bundles) with Cypher, four setting books and the 'Best Game Ever' advice book. Still, it is a pile of money...

Anyone else swooped?
I only want the Cypher 2e Core rule book (since I Iost out on Cypher 1e during a raffle that Elina won) and, of course, Bruce Cordell's "The Stars are Fire" to add to my collection of his games, namely, his Cypher 1e game, "The Strange" I purchased in boxset form.

I am not a fan of horror or the post apocalypse survival games, so the other stretch goals are not speaking to me (maybe just the fantasy one).

They seem to be missing a pledge level. What if I wanted the Best Game Ever and Cypher core in print/pdf, plus all the other books in PDF only?

THINGS FROM THE FLOOD are coming! The long awaited standalone expansion to the multiple award-winning Tales from the Loop RPG, based on the wondrous worlds of Simon Stålenhag, is coming to KICKSTARTER on SEPTEMBER 18.

THINGS FROM THE FLOOD is based on the art book with the same name and thrusts the Tales universe into a grim and bleak alternate 1990s. In this major expansion, fully playable as a complete game, you step into the shoes of teenagers growing up in the midst of a decade of change – and disaster.

Designed by Fria Ligan - the same team that made the Tales of the Loop RPG (winner of five Gold ENnies 2017, winner of three Golden Geek awards 2018), THINGS FROM THE FLOOD presents a darker, more mature version of Stålenhag’s hallmark retro sci-fi. Create new Teens or let your Kids from Tales from the Loop grow older. But remember - this time they can die.

Resistance roll failed.

Remember we discussed game engines before. So with the Mutant Year Zero engine powering this game, and since I am already invested in that game engine, and also since "Tales from the Loop" is a superb game of the 80s that never was, this "Things from the Flood" standalone RPG based on the same engine and art from Simon Stalenhag is obviously a guaranteed buy in from me. :)

KICKSTARTER for Things from the Flood is the 18th of September (so there goes my vote, and sadly, I will skip both Judge Dredd nor Chronicles of Future Earth, great though those games may be).

Okay not a RPG, but something I'll do a lot of RPG stuff on:
A new MacBook Pro.
I could easily make do with something a lot cheaper but me want-ee
I'm with you there, although I really need to replace the iMac which died, probably with a Mac Mini, first. I could deal with it just being a 2014 Mac Mini too, as it'd outperform the MacBook late 2008 aluminium unibody I'm using now.

My next major purchase will be a 13” MBP with 16GB RAM. Undecided on the storage, but as I have a 32GB iMac with 2TB, this isn’t going to be my main machine. Could probably get away with 8GB, but as they aren’t upgradable, maxing it out to future proof it.

Then, once usb-c peripherals and adapters become abundant, I can look at replacing the iPad Pro. Could almost skip the MacBook if it wasn’t for wanting to run Rekordbox and Pioneer not likely to support their DJ controllers on the iPad for quite some time, if at all.
