[PbtA] Ironsworn - a new fantasy game that I love

#21
Hi Shawn. Any experience running it online? I am thinking all this dice rolling might Roll20. Does the player need to see the GM dice?
I haven't personally run it online. There is a recent video series where Roll20 is used here: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLnqDgLQGJJB_vMVyTUxJfD8rq2C06mv_x. The rolls are pretty simple and wouldn't require any complex macros or such, unless you're looking to have Roll20 tell you the outcome (a strong hit, a weak hit, or a miss).

GM don't roll dice by default, although the book includes an options for GM's to roll the challenge dice.

[...] I think it was a few goes before everyone remembered that the Action Die result needs to be lower than at least one of the Challenge Die to create some form of success. [...]
Wait, what? Higher than both is a Strong Hit. Lower than or equal to one is a Weak Hit. Lower than or equal to both is a Miss.

I'm a newb, so your confusion is confusing me.

We are very close to 'it's done'. Some time in July. Shawn is just messing with margins, graphic tone and working out which paper to offer for the POD book. It's all very exciting.

I'm holding fire until we have the announcement and it is out there. Then I'm off to print out a renewed set of Asset Cards and get a refreshed A5 bound copy for the table. There's a good chance that it'll see some action at Furnace.

The free rules and assets. An A5 Doxdirect spiral bound copy of the rules for less than £14.the asset cards are printed, glued back to back with a glue stick and slipped into standard card holders.

My POD hardcover is on the way, so also looking forward to the real thing.

I've learnt more about how to properly use the levers since last running the game. Looking forward to the Furnace outing.

The Ironsworn SRD has been published, so you can create your own Ironsworn based game in other settings.

Also, the Ironsworn Lodestar Reference Guide booklet is available to hand out to players. It looks to be a great little booklet summary, with some new artwork.

The Asset Cards are now available as physical cards on Drivethru, however the postage is about £11 from the USA, so I'll stay with my home constructed and sleeved version.

So many SRDs being released. We will be swimming in RPGs home-brewed to every peculiar taste.
