I want to run The Expanse (AGE system) - for 5 players.

CALIBAN PROJECT BLUES
They made you into a monster.

You were human once. Scientists of the Caliban Project did experiments to turn you into a super-soldier. Sometimes you remember you were human. Sometimes you are nothing but instinct and hunger. Either way, you don't like what you've become. You just want to go home.

TRIGGER WARNING: The Expanse setting canon includes bad guys doing unethical medical experiments on children to make them into monsters. Two of the characters in this scenario are kids.

And if I get it written in time, I might run a second Expanse scenario in the other slot. No promises, though.

Addendum for Taverners:

Yup me and Pookie are finally getting our asses into gear. (We’ve been a bit busy with other things. 200 reviews and 26 cons in a year.)

The ”web-site” link now should work but give me a few minutes to pop over and put something in there.

Thanks for the ”continu

Games for Spaghetti ConJunction 4a:

The Fang Gang

System: Liminal
GM: Sue Savage
Players: 3-4
Time: Morning

A chance encounter with the supernatural has lead to your recruitment into P-Division, the officially non-existent branch of the British police service that investigates paranormal crimes, as a member of the UK's only specialist vampire forensics team.

Next door to Euston Station, 40,000 bodies are being exhumed to make way for the expanded HS2 terminal. The Metropolitan Police's branch of P-division are overseeing the dig and have requested the vampire forensics team be on hand, just in case any of those bodies turn out to be vampires. It's 6am on a bright May morning, and your skills are about to be put to use.

Title: The Last Ingard

Title: CALIBAN PROJECT BLUES
System: The Expanse (AGE system)
Referee: Dr Bob
Time: Morning
Number of players: 5

Description: They made you into a monster.

You were human once. Scientists of the Caliban Project did experiments to turn you into a super-soldier. Sometimes you remember you were human. Sometimes you are nothing but instinct and hunger. Either way, you don't like what you've become. You just want to go home.

Title: Babylon Recall - A Blakes Seven adventure
System: The Code of the Spacelanes
Referee: Simon Burley
Players: 2-6 (apparently the SPACESHIP counts as the 7th member of the team - go figure!)

An "adventure that never was", based on the classic British TV Space Opera. The freedom fighting crew of the powerful, enigmatic, alien spaceship "Liberator" soon won't be the only ones with access to the unbelievable technology of an ancient race.

The idea of Ancient Martians has always been something of an urban legend. Now - it seems - all the stories may have been true. "Something" has been unearthed on Mars. A secret so powerful it threatens to tear The Federation apart with civil infighting, with the victor gaining the ability to grind the galaxy under their heel. (Probably the spiked, white, leather heel of Supreme Commander Servelan.)

What's needed is a brave, mad (suicidal) dash into Earth system - with its defence systems and fleets of Federation pursuit ships - to seize or destroy the enigmatic discovery from under the noses of the various Federation factions before it can foment a conflict that would envelop and kill millions of innocents.

Seven against the Federation. What else is new?

Play any character from any of the four seasons of the original series.

Played using my own THE CODE OF THE SPACELANES rules. Just 2d6, frighteningly easy, fast and fun - with magic happening every time you roll a double.

Title:"Nebin Pendlebrook's Perilous Pantry".

System: D.C.C (Dungeon Crawl Classics)

Judge: David Gallico

Time: Afternoon.

Number of players: 6

Description: The villagers of Bitterweed Barrow are not used to mysteries, being simple farmers and other country folk. However, Nebin Pendlebrook, a portly Halfling, has disappeared! He had been digging into the side of the hill, in order to extend his pantry before the onset of winter, when his shovel unearthed a long buried tunnel. Nobody knew about this until he was finally noticed missing 3 days later. Kelvran, the local constable, investigated the matter and, eventually, descended into the tunnel with a lantern, in order to find the missing Halfling. Three days later and nothing has been heard of either the Halfling or the Constable! Therefore, the villagers have gathered at the village tavern to form a search party

Title: The Curse of Ptahhotep
System: Trail of Cthulhu
Referee: Gary Loveridge
Time: Afternoon
Number of players: 6

Description: Members of the archaeological expedition that discovered the tomb of Ptahhotep have started to die. Coincidence or are they victims of The Curse? Some of you were on the expedition, will you be next?

Title: Manta Prowl Tank Down - An adventure in the world of Judge Dredd
System: The Code of the Spacelanes
Referee: Simon Burley
Time: Afternoon
Number of players: 3-5

Description: Three months ago Judge Burke and Judge Hair headed out into the Cursed Earth to track down the evil Malignant Seven. Now Judge Hair has called for retrieval of the survivors. A Manta Prowl Tank was duly dispatched. However, on the way back an engine fault has cashed it to crash, killing some of its crew and some of the prisoners are loose. Malfunction or Sabotage?

An Agatha Christie style murder mystery with a downed Prowl Tank in The Cursed Earth instead of a Mansion and a variety of perps and Judges as the suspects.

Can you make it back to Mega City One alive and with perps still under arrest?

Spaghetti Conjunction 4a was fun and frolics as usual. This time I got a lift up to Brum from Gary Loveridge, so had a couple of hours of geeky chat in the car on the way there and back. I was slightly disease ridden, as I was fighting off the last of a cold. My fears that my rough-as-a-badger's-bum throat would give out proved unfounded. However, I was half deaf from snot/gunk clogging my ear canals (seriously evolution, couldn't you come up with a better design than this?). So I was yelling "What?" a lot.

For the morning slot I ran The Expanse: Caliban Project Blues. The PCs had been turned into human-alien hybrids and were looking for a way to escape. They swiftly dealt with any opposition they came across, and took hostages. At one point they had a shopping trolley filled with unconscious scientists! They spent more time exploring the secret laboratory than I expected (Note to self: make the water levels rise faster). So the latter half of the adventure was a bit truncated. They debated who they could trust, and decided on the Martian Military.
They started the adventure locked into a concrete bunker in a secret facility run by some dodgy people...
And they finished the adventure locked into a different concrete bunker in a different secret facility run by some (hopefully) not quite so dodgy people... :)

In the afternoon slot I played Judge Dredd: Manta Prowl Tank Down (Manifold), run by the esteemed Simon Burley. This was as bonkers and violent as you would expect for a Judge Dredd trek across the Cursed Earth. Plus there was a murderer in our midst. My finest moment was letting another PC tell me all sorts of porkies, then remind him I had a lie detector. It was also terrific fun that me and that PC were stood having a pernickety legal argument in the middle of the gunfight between rest of the party and the bad guys! I had a skill of 3 in Law and he had a skill of 2 (on a scale of 2 to 30), so this was not a meeting of fine legal minds. :)
