I am currently making up some character sheets and would like to host them somewhere where I can hotlink them to my blog and forums.

Is there any service on the web that does this?
Something like Photobucket but for files and PDFs? Question

You can use UK Role Players if you don't mind them being accessed by other visitors.

I've just done a quick Google for "free file hosting" and there are a few options out there:

http://www.mediafire.com/
http://www.filefactory.com/
http://www.filedropper.com/
http://www.fileden.com/
http://www.rapidshare.com/

Those are the top 5 results - I've no idea if any of them fit your criteria though.

I'd advise dropbox. Any files in your Public folder have a public URL, which you can see by right-clicking on the file.

Anyone can download or link to these files if they know the URL.

Oops, the Guvnor got there before me. Yep, I find dropbox adequate.

I didn't know you could do that with dropbox - nice! Very Happy

Thanks for this Tom, excellent web resource. I have just signed up with your link and got this message:

"Thanks for registering for Dropbox! For accepting Thomas Zunder's invitation, we've awarded you 250 MB of bonus space. You now have a total of 2.25 GB on Dropbox!"

Luvly jubbly

Dropbox is indeed fantastically useful.
